I took my husband there at short notice as he had become unwell while travelling in the outback. The staff could not have been more helpful, and fitted him in at short notice. We saw Dr Jill Bestic, who was friendly, caring, efficient and very thorough. The whole experience was very reassuring, and I am most grateful to them all - receptionist, nurse, doctor.
If I could give no stars I would. I had the misfortune to be ill whilst in Yulara. I went to the Medical Centre only to find Mon was a Public Holiday I returned Tuesday only to be told that there was NO doctor & the earliest appointment I could get was the Wednesday afternoon when we will have left. The Receptionists are of NO, that is ABSOLUTELY NO HELP, even though I am visibly ill & can't breathe properly. Don't get sick here unless you pre-plan it.
Less than 24 hours after arriving at Yulara, I unexpectedly fell seriously ill. I received fantastic care from Helen (nurse) and Rob (nurse) who sent me to Alice Springs Hospital on the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Chris and Carol). It's wonderful to know that my family and I can travel to such a remote place, and still receive excellent medical care. Heartfelt thanks.
