Cant fault the hotel, staff or facilities. When staying at the resort its nice to be in a place that feels outback. Rooms are basic but thats all you need! Bar area is spot on and excellent selection of beers at very reasonable prices considering where you are!
We stayed at his hotel for 1 night to visit Ayers rock. The check-in at the reception was smooth and the staff was friendly but that was the end of it.. Rooms are dated and not very clean, the AC was full of dead insects and the bathrooms need to be updated. The main pool is dirty and no one seems to clean it from the dead leaves. The value for money is terrible knowing that you can stay in a top 5 star hotel anywhere in the world for less...
We were slightly hesitant having read the reviews of the Outback but we ended up pleasantly surprised. It had all the essentials in the room (which was very large), even towels for the pool. The pool could do with a few more beds as these go quickly but the pool itself was very refreshing and clean. Staff very helpful. Good restaurants to choose from. Free water by the bar. Had a games room for the youngsters and 3 pool tables in the bar. We had a great time.
The local pub! Quite pricey but this is as cheap as it gets at this remote location. Theres nice live music, you could dance to. Staff is very nice! If you wish to speak to locals about life here, head to the smoking area-there are locals always there (definitely on the evenings) happy to chat!
Very nice place for this kind of accommodation in the middle of nowhere. I had the budget accommodation as booked last minute when the non budget one was just ridiculously expensive. But the budget accommodation was more than correct, cristal clean, comfortable bed, well equipped room with even ironing facilities. My field of lights tour was cancelled due to storm so I ended up on the terrace for cook your own barbecue and live music. Lovely atmosphere. The only regret I have is not being able to stay longer.
